The subseries mainly consists of correspondence of Bruce Williams pertaining to the management of the Old Water Mill (Harris County, Ga.) at Callaway Gardens from 1942-1963. Correspondence with suppliers and customers provides information on the daily operation of the mill, while letters relating to advertising document the types of products produced. The subseries also contains materials dealing with licenses, inspections, or government regulations, as well as detailed architectural mill plans.

In 1950, Cason J. Callaway purchased and restored an abandoned mill on Mulberry Creek (Harris County, Ga.) as a business to support Callaway Gardens. The mill produced and marketed stone ground meals, grits, and related products under the Pine Mountain brand name. In 1964, the mill was sold to the Eelbeck Milling Company (Columbus, Ga.).
